Drive-in cinema, escape room, hiking, free tickets and much more in the second 'Youth Autumn' of Marbella
The initiative, aimed at young people between 16 and 35 years old, features a comprehensive program that includes workshops and a 'buggy' tour through Sierra Blanca.
The Marbella City Council has launched the second edition of the 'Autumn Youth' program with a comprehensive schedule of free activities for young people aged 16 to 35 years. The Youth Councilor, Alejandro González, explained that this initiative includes workshops, activities, vouchers, and drive-in cinema, and highlighted that "it is aimed at energizing the leisure time of this segment of the population in the municipality and will take place from Thursday to Sunday."
The councilor, who was accompanied by the General Director of Events of San Pedro Alcántara, Rubén Sánchez, recalled that the first edition, held last year in a pilot format, had "a great reception among young people, which has motivated its continuation and expansion this year." "We want to offer attractive, participatory, and healthy alternatives, designed for enjoying with friends, learning, and getting to know the city's surroundings," he emphasized.
The event includes workshops on varied themes such as ceramics, music production, and sushi
González detailed, regarding workshops, that there will be ceramics in San Pedro, a skateboarding masterclass at the Urban Skate Park in Marbella, "a top-tier facility whose use is being promoted," another on DJing and music production, "a discipline increasingly in demand by the youth," and another on sushi, which will be taught at 'Food Room' in Guadalmina, as an evolution of last year's basic cooking workshop.
In the activities section, he indicated that the program includes outdoor actions and experiences, such as Mystery Nights, an escape room in Marbella (Old Town) and San Pedro (area of Church Square and Marqués del Duero). Likewise, a 'buggy' route through Sierra Blanca will be carried out, "expanded due to high demand for 2024," and hiking, with a renewed itinerary to enhance the knowledge of the municipality's natural environment.
There will be movie tickets at La Cañada, access to Jumping in San Pedro and to Sunview Park, AirSoft vouchers, tickets for Aventura Amazonia, karting in Málaga and Estepona, and Sea Life
Furthermore, he explained that "in order to facilitate the participation of young people with incompatible work or academic schedules, the municipal delegation has created free flexible vouchers," which will allow access to movie tickets at Kinépolis La Cañada, access to Jumping in San Pedro and to Sunview Park, AirSoft vouchers, tickets for Aventura Amazonia, karting in Málaga and Estepona, or tickets for Sea Life Benalmádena. "They can be collected in Marbella or San Pedro, according to the preference indicated in the registration form, responding to the suggestions made by the youth last year," he detailed.
Drive-in Cinema and Activity Registrations
Moreover, he emphasized that this program "will again include the successful drive-in cinema mode," with two screenings at La Caridad estate (San Pedro Alcántara), such as 'Bad Boys' on November 6, at 7:00 PM, and 'Evil Dead' at 10:00 PM. The films will be heard through the vehicle's FM audio system and free popcorn will be offered.
Finally, he noted that all activities will have a specific date and that all information and registrations, available from today, must be made through the website www.marbella.es/juventud. For his part, Sánchez highlighted the quality and variety of the programming. "These are activities designed for fun, learning, and community enjoyment, so we invite all young people from the municipality to participate." He also emphasized the involvement of local businesses, cultural centers, and professional spaces collaborating with this edition.
