Nurse's Goal: the charitable event of the Debra Butterfly Skin Association
The organization is hosting a golf tournament and a dinner on the 20th to hire a professional who can provide care and guide families.
The goal is to hire a nurse for a year through a golf tournament and a charity dinner. This initiative has been launched by Debra Butterfly Skin, the only national organization dedicated to improving the daily lives of families affected by epidermolysis bullosa, a rare, genetic, and currently incurable disease that causes extreme skin fragility.
It is a "minority and very harsh" disease that requires "long and painful daily care", and the support of a specialized nurse is "fundamental" since "they not only provide complex care but also guide families in their daily lives and train medical staff who, in many cases, are unfamiliar with the disease," explains Debra's director, Evanina Morcillo. Therefore, she encourages participation in these events, because "it is not just a gesture of support, but a direct and effective way to improve the lives of those living with butterfly skin."
The charity events will take place on the 20th at the Aloha Golf Club Marbella. The first event is a new edition of the golf tournament created over 20 years ago by businessman Don Fisher, and it has become one of the most important charity events on the local calendar. Registrations to participate in the tournament in the 'stableford' individual mode are now open and can be formalized by email (golf@debra.es) or by phone (691 277 558 and 622 574 429).
That same day, at 8:30 PM, the Aloha Club restaurant will host a charity dinner, which will feature cuisine, live music, as well as a raffle and an auction with exclusive gifts. The price per cover is 80 euros. The "Menu 0" option has also been enabled for those who wish to collaborate with the cause without physically attending the dinner. Reservations can be managed by email (pieldemariposa@debra.es and butterflychildren@debra.es) and by phone (691 277 558 and 622 574 429).
