The X edition of the International Music Festival begins on Friday.

The tenth edition of the Marbella International Music Festival will be held from Friday until September 12th and will include a series of classical concerts organized at various locations, and a competition at the Museum of Spanish Contemporary Engraving where pianists up to 35 years old will compete. The competition will start on Friday, with the first round of eliminations; it will continue on Saturday, with the semifinals; and will conclude on Sunday, with the final. The first prize, 'City of Marbella,' of the contest is endowed with 3,000 euros; the second, 'Ramón Coll,' with 1,500 euros; and the third, 'Delia Steinberg,' with 750 euros. There will also be a public award, which lacks financial endowment. The three finalists of the competition will perform on Sunday, at 9:00 PM at the Museum of Engraving, a selection of the works they have played during the course of the contest, directed by Uzbek national Michael Davidov. The jury will announce the winners in the evening and will provide live information about the audience award.
