Considered one of the oldest festivals in the province of Málaga, Almáchar celebrates its traditional Fiesta del Ajoblanco this Saturday, September 6th, in its 55th edition. This is a festival with a rich gastronomic tradition where you will have the opportunity to taste everything from its ajoblanco to its moscatel grapes, raisins, and wine. The event will also feature verdiales music, a Noche Flamenca (Flamenco Night), and a popular verbena. Additionally, there will be a charity tapas event featuring chicken with moscatel and sangria for €1, benefiting the Asociación El Taller de la Amistad.

The extensive program of the Fiesta del Ajoblanco also includes workshops (by reservation), free tours, exhibitions, entertaining parades, and performances of all kinds. Of course, the appropriate tasting of the local ajoblanco will not be missed, both at the Paseo de la Axarquía and in the Plaza del Santo Cristo de la Banda Verde, from 12:00 to 15:00 hours. Without a doubt, a golden opportunity to visit Almáchar, the birthplace of ajoblanco.
