Icelandair will connect Malaga with Reykjavik starting this Saturday.

Starting this Saturday, September 6, Iceland's flagship airline will connect Malaga Airport with the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik. The company, with more than 85 years of history, has scheduled two flights a week, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Eva Bretos Cano, director of Icelandair in Spain, states that "we are very excited about the launch of this new route between Malaga and Reykjavik. It represents a unique opportunity to bring Iceland closer to travelers from southern Spain, while also expanding the connection possibilities to North America." She is also confident that "this new service will be very well received by both leisure and business travelers." In Spain, they also fly from Alicante, Barcelona, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Tenerife South.

The company, with 60 destinations in North America and Europe, explains that thanks to this new connection, passengers will not only be able to discover the glaciers, waterfalls, geysers, or northern lights of the country but will also have access to Icelandair's extensive network of transatlantic destinations that connects with key cities such as New York, Boston, Washington, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, or Toronto, among many others.

This operation will continue until next May 30 with two weekly flights in September and October as well as in April and May, while from November to March, one flight a week has been scheduled.
