The 9 cheeses from Málaga that have been recognized at the highly prestigious World Cheese Awards: where to buy them

The province of Málaga shone brightly in the latest edition of the prestigious World Cheese Awards (WCA), the most significant international event dedicated to this delicacy that transcends borders, where Malaga's cheeses always have their space. The event, considered the ultimate reference for the sector, once again highlighted the excellence of Spanish cheeses, particularly those from Malaga's dairies, which demonstrated that they are at a moment of great international recognition.

In this new edition held a few days ago in Portugal, four Malaga dairies that work exclusively with native goat milk—a one hundred percent local product—won a total of nine medals. The awards went to the producers Quesos Santa María del Cerro, Lácteos El Pastor del Valle, AGAMMASUR, and Quesería La Hortelana, reaffirming the prominent role of Málaga in the global cheese scene.

These recognitions not only praise the quality of the products but also the commitment of the Malaga dairies to tradition, sustainability, and innovation in their production process. A success that reinforces the reputation of Malaga's goat cheeses as true gastronomic gems. Corazón de Pistacho from Quesos Santa María del Cerro; Curado El Pinsapo from AGAMMASUR; and Queso Curado de Cabra from Lácteos El Pastor del Valle were awarded a gold medal at this World Cheese Awards.

On the other hand, two other cheeses from AGAMMASUR also took home a silver medal, both the Curado de Leche Cruda Montes de Málaga and the Curado Montes de Málaga; as well as another from Lácteos El Pastor Del Valle, their Queso Semicurado de Cabra al Romero. As for the bronze medal, the winners were two more cheeses from AGAMMASUR, both the Emborrizado Montes de Málaga and the Semicurado al Vino Pedro Ximénez El Pinsapo; as well as the Gran Reserva La Hortelana Mezcla Cabra Oveja, from Quesería La Hortelana, in Coín.
