Special security device for the August concerts at Finca La Caridad

The Marbella City Council held a coordination meeting this Wednesday to plan the security arrangements for the five concerts scheduled for August at Finca La Caridad in San Pedro Alcántara, a musical event that will gather thousands of attendees. The meeting included participation from the deputy mayor of San Pedro, Javier García; the councilor for the area, José Eduardo Díaz, and representatives from various security forces and municipal departments. The spokesperson for the Local Police, Inspector Miguel Ángel Benítez, noted that the operation will take place between August 2 and August 23, during which the festivals 'Bella Festival' (August 2), 'I Love Reggaeton' (August 8), 'Love 90s' (August 9), Manuel Carrasco (August 14), and ElRow (August 23) will occur. The first three events are expected to draw an estimated attendance of between 8,000 and 13,000 people, while the last two could reach up to 30,000 attendees. "The operation will prioritize traffic regulation and public safety both outside and inside the venue," explained Benítez. To this end, the Local Police will deploy between 18 and 21 officers for traffic duties and between 12 and 14 for internal security, depending on the event. This operation will be supplemented by drone unit personnel, plainclothes officers, regular service members, as well as support from the National Police, who will also be present in the vicinity and inside the venue. Additionally, the operation will involve Civil Protection, which will mobilize between 15 and 20 volunteers, and a Fire Brigade unit. Regarding medical reinforcements, two medical centers will be set up, and there will be between two and four ambulances per event, depending on the anticipated crowd size. In terms of mobility, up to four large parking areas near the venue will be available, two of which will be operational for the concerts with smaller crowds, and all four during the more heavily attended events. These areas will be located around the fairgrounds, at the intersection of Potril lane with Picaza, and in the area behind Picaza lane towards Nueva Andalucía, as well as one more accessible from the Ronda road.
