A mountain goat wanders through the El Limonar area to the surprise of the residents
The animal was disoriented and finally ran off towards a nearby river.
Manuel Siles was riding his motorcycle along San Vicente de Paul Avenue, in the El Limonar area of Málaga capital, when he encountered a wild goat. "In the area where I live in Pinosol, we've been seeing a lot of wild boars, but this is the first time I've seen a mountain goat," he tells SUR.
It was 7:30 in the morning this Saturday. Manuel was heading to his mother's house when he had to stop his motorcycle due to the presence of the animal, which, clearly disoriented, passed by the San Miguel de Miramar Parish and eventually ran towards a river path near the Madre Asunción School.
"I kept an eye out in case a car or motorcycle passed by to warn them, and when I saw it take the river path, I left," says Manuel Siles, who expressed his concern about animals like mountain goats or wild boars being seen so often near residential areas. "It's worrying both for the safety of the animal and for the people," who like him were passing through El Limonar this morning.
