A festival for families: Yellow Sound returns with music from Nena Daconte and workshops for all ages

On the surface, it might seem like a typical festival: several hours of live music, three bands on the bill, food trucks, and rest areas. But at its core, the event is unique: there will be performances, yes, but also recreational activities and children's workshops to enjoy with the family during a summer afternoon. Yellow Sound, the music festival for responsible families, celebrates its second edition at La Térmica with an increase in capacity and Nena Daconte as the headliner. It will take place on Saturday, July 12, starting at 6:00 PM, with tickets priced at 10 euros for adults and 3 euros for children under 12 (available at yonorenuncio.com/yellowsound).

The event, driven by the Yo no Renuncio Association, led by Laura Baena from Malaga, turns music into a space for meeting, care, and social transformation as a platform to highlight the need for a co-responsible society. Fun with a message. "This festival shows that we can also change things through culture. That claiming can be beautiful, shared, joyful. And that there is another way to do things," says Baena, also the founder of the Club de Malasmadres.

The day is designed for families and musically will have three highlights: Nena Daconte, with the presentation of new songs from her album 'La escafandra' and a review of her anthems; Julia Martín from Malaga, with a burst of her eclectic sound universe in 'Yulai Bombay'; and the timeless classics to the rhythm of Los Electroduendes.

The event will combine live concerts with family zones, creative spaces, and programming designed for all ages. "It is a space where we celebrate together that caring belongs to all of us, that families should not give up neither enjoyment nor the right to be present," Baena argues. As stated by the vice president of the Provincial Council, Antonia Ledesma, Yellow Sound aims to draw attention to the importance of living and collaborating in homes with the goal of "giving visibility to the equality that all of society demands."

Yellow Sound was born from advocacy, as a yellow cry for the right to reconcile also in leisure time, in art, in the streets. Its first edition was a success in attendance and participation, proving that it is possible to build cultural spaces that care and transform. It is organized by the Yo no Renuncio Association in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Malaga through La Térmica, the City Council of Malaga, Victoria Beers, Mayoral, and the Creative Studio La Madre de los Beatles.
