‘Luz y verso’ transforms Ronda into an immersive 360-degree art experience

Ronda has added a different kind of cultural plan to its usual mix of monuments, viewpoints and historic streets. Until Sunday, 27 September, Plaza Teniente Arce is hosting Luz y verso. A journey through the history of art in 360 degrees through the senses, an immersive experience that invites visitors to discover art in a more sensory way.

Created by Fundación Unicaja, the exhibition uses an audiovisual format to transform the space and place the audience inside a journey through different periods of artistic creation.

Rather than a conventional exhibition where visitors move from one artwork to another, the experience combines image, light and sound to create a fully immersive environment.

A journey through art history without leaving Ronda

One of the main attractions of Luz y verso is its 360-degree format.

The projections surround visitors and can be viewed from different points within the space, creating a sense of immersion that moves away from the traditional museum or gallery experience.

The aim is to explore the history of art through the senses, combining visual and sound elements to make artistic movements and works more accessible to a broad audience.

The installation is set up in Plaza Teniente Arce, in central Ronda and close to several of the city’s most visited landmarks.

That makes it easy to combine the experience with a day exploring the historic centre: visiting the area around the bullring, walking to the Puente Nuevo, enjoying the viewpoints and ending the afternoon with one of the Luz y verso sessions.

Opening times for ‘Luz y verso’ in Ronda

The experience is open from Tuesday to Sunday, with several sessions scheduled throughout the day.

In general, sessions take place at 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, with an additional 12:00 pm session at weekends.

The timetable is expanded for the final weekend:

• Saturday, 26 September: 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm
• Sunday, 27 September: 11:00 am and 1:00 pm

As access is organised through specific sessions, booking in advance is recommended, especially for the final weekend.

Tickets from €5 and free admission for some age groups

General admission costs €5.

Entry is free for visitors under 17 and over 65, although advance booking is still required.
