San Pedro Alcántara is preparing for four days with a distinctly Cuban flavour. From 17 to 20 September 2026, the Boulevard will host the ‘La Pequeña Cuba’ Gastro-Cultural Festival, an event designed to showcase the island’s food, music, crafts and traditions.

The festival is organised by the Cubanos Unidos Association with the support of Marbella Town Hall, through the Foreign Residents Department and the San Pedro Alcántara municipal office.

The aim is to create a meeting point not only for the local Cuban community, but also for residents and visitors who want to discover more about Cuban culture.

Cuban food and cocktails on the Boulevard

One of the main attractions will be the food stalls.

Throughout the four-day event, visitors will be able to sample dishes and flavours associated with Cuban cuisine, alongside a selection of cocktails and other refreshments.

The idea is to create more than just a food festival. Organisers want to recreate part of Cuba’s lively social atmosphere by bringing together food, music and socialising in one open-air space.

Crafts, music and Cuban traditions

The programme will also include craft stalls and entertainment, providing a broader look at Cuban culture.

Music will play an important role in the festival, which has been designed as an open and participatory event where visitors can discover different traditions and cultural expressions from the Caribbean island.

For four days, San Pedro Boulevard will effectively become a small showcase of Cuba on the Costa del Sol.

A festival with a strong local community focus

The choice of San Pedro Alcántara is also closely linked to the presence of a large Cuban community in the area.

The Cubanos Unidos Association has organised similar events before, but this edition is intended to bring the celebration particularly close to Cubans living in San Pedro.

At the same time, the organisers want the wider public to join in, discover the food and music, and experience the culture in an informal and welcoming setting.

A manifesto on Saturday, 19 September

The festival will also include a more reflective element.

On Saturday, 19 September at 7:00 pm, a manifesto addressing the situation in Cuba is scheduled to be read.

This will add a social and community-focused dimension to an event that otherwise centres on celebration, identity and cultural exchange.

When and where is La Pequeña Cuba?

The La Pequeña Cuba Gastro-Cultural Festival will take place from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 September 2026 at the San Pedro Alcántara Boulevard.

Across the four days, visitors can expect Cuban food, cocktails, crafts and music, making it one of the most distinctive cultural events in San Pedro this September.

The festival also offers an opportunity to learn more about one of the international communities that forms part of everyday life in Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara.

Dates, location and the main festival details can be found in the official information published by Marbella Town Hall about ‘La Pequeña Cuba’.
