Marenostrum Fuengirola turns August into a major open-air music season by the Mediterranean

Music will once again take centre stage in Fuengirola throughout August 2026. Marenostrum, located beside Sohail Castle and overlooking the Mediterranean, is preparing for one of the busiest months of its season, with a programme spanning pop, flamenco, electronic music, urban sounds, indie, rock and metal.

The calendar brings together major concerts at the Unicaja Stage, set on the hillside beneath the castle, alongside more intimate performances at the Fundación Unicaja Stage, located inside the historic fortress. Audiences will be able to choose from established artists, themed festivals and shows designed for the whole family.

Hombres G to open the August programme

The first major concert of the month will take place on Saturday, 1 August, with Hombres G. The Madrid band will arrive in Fuengirola with its Los Mejores Años de Nuestra Vida 2026 tour, a show celebrating both its long career and the close relationship it has built with several generations of fans.

The concert will begin at 9.30 pm on the Unicaja Stage, with tickets available from €56.50. The setlist is expected to include some of the anthems that have made the group one of the most popular names in Spanish pop-rock.

Music will continue on Sunday, 2 August, with a new edition of Vibras, a one-day event combining live music, a summer atmosphere and a festival experience beside the sea. Doors will open at 6 pm, with tickets starting at €66.

Food and live music at Bocata Fest

On 6 and 7 August, Sohail Castle will host Bocata Fest, an event combining gastronomy, entertainment and live music. Well-known chefs will present more than 20 signature sandwiches and gourmet street-food creations designed especially for the festival.

The music programme will feature performances by Pop FM and 90 Roll, as well as DJ sessions. There will also be a fashion and crafts market, interactive activities, live tattooing and prize draws. Admission starts at €6, with doors opening at 7 pm.

Underworld, Sven Väth and Bonobo bring electronic music to the main stage

On Saturday, 8 August, Marenostrum will switch to electronic music with Satisfaxion 30+3, one of the biggest dance events in the programme. The line-up will be headed by Underworld performing live, Sven Väth and Bonobo, three internationally recognised names in electronic music.

The event will begin at 6 pm on the Unicaja Stage, with tickets available from €44. The combination of live sets and DJ performances will transform the venue into a huge open-air dancefloor.

One day later, on Sunday, 9 August, Gipsy Kings will perform inside Sohail Castle. Their distinctive blend of rumba, flamenco, pop and Latin rhythms will reach the Fundación Unicaja Stage from 10 pm. Tickets start at €38.50.

Alejandro Astola, Lola Índigo and Antonio Orozco on three consecutive nights

The programme will enter one of its busiest periods between 13 and 15 August. The first artist to perform will be Alejandro Astola, who will arrive at Sohail Castle on Thursday, 13 August, with the concert already sold out.

The former founder and main songwriter of Fondo Flamenco will present his distinctive underground flamenco sound, blending traditional influences with rock, funk and jazz. The performance will begin at 10 pm on the Fundación Unicaja Stage.

On Friday, 14 August, it will be the turn of Lola Índigo, one of the leading figures in contemporary Spanish pop and urban music. Her concert will combine music, choreography and a large-scale visual production featuring songs such as La niña de la escuela, El tonto and Mujer bruja.

Doors at the Unicaja Stage will open at 8 pm, with the show beginning at 10 pm. Tickets start at €66.

The long August weekend will continue on Saturday, 15 August, with Antonio Orozco. The singer will perform both his greatest hits and songs from his more recent work in a concert beginning at 9.30 pm. Tickets are available from €49.50.

An afternoon of indie music with Luna Sur

On Tuesday, 18 August, Marenostrum will bring back its afternoon concert format with Luna Sur Tardeo. The confirmed programme includes Ultraligera, alongside Juanca and Pope Supersub DJs, in an event running from 6 pm until midnight.

The festival offers audiences the chance to enjoy indie music and DJ sessions during the late afternoon and evening, making the most of the venue’s outdoor setting and views of the Mediterranean. Tickets start at €39.

Galván Real and La Plazuela bring new Andalusian sounds to Fuengirola

On Friday, 21 August, Galván Real will celebrate his tenth anniversary in music at Marenostrum. The Valencia-born artist, known for his distinctive raspy voice and romantic songs, will perform at 10 pm on the Unicaja Stage. Tickets start at €33.

The programme will continue on Saturday, 22 August, with La Plazuela, the Granada duo formed by Manuel Hidalgo Sierra and Luis Abril Martín. Their music combines flamenco roots with electronic sounds and funk, offering a contemporary interpretation of Andalusian culture.

The concert will begin at 10 pm on the main stage, with tickets available from €38.50.

CantaJuego brings its new show to Sohail Castle

Families will also have their own event on Sunday, 23 August, with CantaJuego and El Payaso Tallarín. The show will combine songs, dance, humour and acrobatics with messages centred on friendship, respect and creativity.

The performance will begin at 8.30 pm on the Fundación Unicaja Stage. Tickets start at €20, and all children must have their own ticket.

Three days of rock and metal to close the month

August’s final major music event will take place on 27, 28 and 29 August with a new edition of Sun & Thunder. The festival returns to Fuengirola with three consecutive days dedicated to rock and metal, limited capacity and a schedule designed to minimise clashes between performances.

Doors will open at 4.30 pm, with concerts beginning at 5 pm. Three-day passes start at €165, while children aged 13 and under may enter free of charge under the conditions established by the organisers.
