The Costa del Sol continues to consolidate its position as one of southern Europe’s leading luxury and wellness destinations. The arrival of Spa 4 Hotels, a company specialising in the management of hotel spas, introduces three new experiences aimed at both international visitors and local residents seeking relaxation, treatments and personalised wellbeing services.

The company has chosen the Marbella and Estepona area for its first major expansion outside Barcelona and Madrid. The large number of high-end hotels in the region, combined with a visitor profile that values exclusive services, makes this stretch of the Málaga coastline a strategic location for the growth of wellness tourism.

Three concepts for different types of guests

Spa 4 Hotels is entering the Costa del Sol market with three different brands, each adapted to the characteristics of its hotel and the needs of a particular audience. All three share a focus on personalised care, high-quality service and the integration of wellbeing into the overall hotel experience.

The new facilities are not intended exclusively for hotel guests. They also aim to make these services available to local residents, allowing them to include massages, beauty treatments and relaxation circuits in their everyday routines.

Elysium Luxury Wellness on the New Golden Mile

The most exclusive of the three new venues is Elysium Luxury Wellness, located inside the five-star Grand Luxury METT Marbella–Estepona hotel, in the Costalita residential area.

The property is situated on the New Golden Mile, between Marbella and Estepona, with direct access to El Saladillo beach.

The spa includes an indoor heated swimming pool and six private treatment rooms. Its concept is mainly aimed at international clients who consider personal wellbeing an essential part of their lifestyle.

One of its flagship services is the METT Signature Retreat, a two-day experience designed to provide guests with a complete immersion in relaxation and wellness.

Mediterranean-inspired treatments by the sea

The second new venue is Serena Spa Collection, located at the Grand Hotel Las Dunas – Autograph Collection by Marriott, on the beachfront in Estepona.

Its treatment menu draws inspiration from the Mediterranean and incorporates ingredients and fragrances associated with the Costa del Sol. The spa offers hydrotherapy circuits, massages, skincare rituals and private wellness experiences.

Among its most popular options are the Serenity massage and treatments carried out in a private suite, aimed at guests seeking a more intimate and personalised experience.

A more accessible premium experience in Guadalmina

The third facility, Serena Spa Traveller, is located at the Barceló Marbella Hotel, in Guadalmina Alta, next to one of the best-known golf courses in the San Pedro Alcántara area.

This concept is designed to bring premium wellness services to a broader audience, including travellers who want to enhance their holiday with a treatment, couples looking for a different experience and local residents who need a break from their daily routine.

The opening expands the range of experiences available in an area where golf, gastronomy, high-end accommodation and wellness increasingly form part of the same tourism offering.

Further openings planned

Spa 4 Hotels has been operating for four years and currently manages wellness facilities in eight five-star hotels in Barcelona and Madrid.

Its arrival in Marbella represents an important step in its growth strategy and reinforces its commitment to premium holiday destinations.

The company expects to reach €2 million in turnover by 2027 and is planning further openings in Madrid and the Canary Islands.

With these new additions, the Costa del Sol is strengthening a tourism offering that goes far beyond accommodation and beaches. Wellness is becoming increasingly important as a service capable of attracting travellers interested in exclusive experiences, while also helping luxury hotels connect with local residents throughout the year.
