Alfarnatejo celebrates three days of tradition, music and free gazpacho with its most anticipated festival
The Axarquía village will host a new edition of the Gazpacho de los 3 Golpes from 30 July to 1 August, an event declared a Festival of Provincial Tourist Interest.
Alfarnatejo will once again become one of inland Málaga’s great gastronomic meeting points this summer. The village will celebrate a new edition of the Gazpacho de los 3 Golpes from Thursday 30 July to Saturday 1 August, a festival that brings together popular tradition, local cuisine, music and a family-friendly atmosphere.
The event, declared a Festival of Provincial Tourist Interest, centres on Alfarnatejo’s most emblematic dish: Gazpacho de los 3 Golpes, a traditional recipe that every year brings residents and visitors together around the gastronomy of the Upper Axarquía.
Three days of celebration in Territorio Tejón
The programme will begin on Thursday 30 July with the “Salta al Tejón” hay bale jumping contest, scheduled for 8 pm below the Mirador Comadrona Lucía Alba. The day will continue with a gathering of rociero choirs in the Municipal Park and the traditional evening bingo.
On Friday 31 July, the programme will feature a Water Party at the municipal swimming pool, the musical Grease, a performance by Infinity Show and a Glow Party with La Fresca FM, building the festive atmosphere ahead of Saturday’s main day.
Free gazpacho, market and showcookings
The central day will be Saturday 1 August, with activities from 11 am. The programme will start with a parade by the Alfarnate-Alfarnatejo Music School, the opening of the Sabor a Málaga Gastronomic Market, the artisan market, children’s and family activities, and the opening of the Territorio Tejón exhibition room.
One of the most anticipated moments will arrive at 1.30 pm, with a showcooking by Samuel Perea and the start of sales of the 2026 Gazpacho bowls, followed by the free distribution of Gazpacho de los 3 Golpes. The gastronomic programme will also include proposals from chefs such as José Coín and Rubén Antón, who will present the creation of the Natejito.
Tributes, music and festivities until late
Saturday will also include institutional and cultural moments. The programme features the appointment of José Luis Puche as Adopted Son of Alfarnatejo, a tribute to women ceramicists, recognition for Málaga CF and its supporters, and the inauguration of the Alfar y Natejo monument.
Music will accompany the celebration throughout the day with Orquesta Kalima, the cover band Long Play, Infinity Show, the reggaeton tribute Con Más Flow and a final after party with DJ Javi Domínguez, which will close the festival in the main marquee in the park.
A festival that celebrates Alfarnatejo’s identity
The Gazpacho de los 3 Golpes is not only a gastronomic event. It also acts as a showcase for local identity, Alfarnatejo’s rural atmosphere and the festive traditions of inland Málaga villages.
For three days, the municipality invites visitors to discover its cuisine, streets, music and popular culture in a celebration that combines flavour, community spirit and local pride.
