La Zambra Resort brings open-air cinema, flamenco and summer gastronomy to Mijas
The hotel, located between Málaga and Marbella, has prepared a summer programme with Mediterranean evenings, live music, sunset showcooking, cinema under the stars and a special menu dedicated to almadraba bluefin tuna.
La Zambra Resort, in Mijas, has launched a summer programme designed for those looking for different plans on the Costa del Sol without moving away from the Mediterranean atmosphere.
The resort combines gastronomy, music, culture and open-air leisure across several of its spaces, offering experiences for both hotel guests and visitors who want to enjoy a special evening.
The programme takes place across its restaurants and garden areas, with activities ranging from flamenco dinners and outdoor cinema to showcooking sessions, signature cocktails and dishes centred on one of Andalusia’s most prized ingredients: almadraba bluefin tuna.
Mediterranean nights with flamenco at Palmito
One of the highlights of the summer programme is the Mediterranean Nights at Palmito, held every Saturday from 8.30 pm.
The restaurant turns dinner into a fuller experience with special off-menu dishes, a professional ham cutter and a live flamenco performance.
The setting, with views over the gardens, swimming pools and the Sierra de Mijas, adds to the relaxed atmosphere of these evenings, designed to enjoy Mediterranean cuisine and Andalusian tradition at a slower pace.
Sunset showcooking at Bamboleo
On Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, the focus shifts to Bamboleo with Fresh Rituals, a sunset experience featuring live music, cocktails and dishes prepared on the spot.
The proposal includes fresh raw bar-inspired creations such as ceviches, tiraditos and other light recipes designed to accompany the final hours of the day.
It is an informal summer plan with a terrace atmosphere, live flavours and a relaxed coastal feel.
Almadraba bluefin tuna at Picador
Gastronomy also plays a central role at Picador, where the resort has introduced a limited-edition proposal dedicated to almadraba bluefin tuna.
Under the name Marea de Atún, the menu brings together special dishes that reinterpret this product from a contemporary perspective, including tartares, tacos, grilled cuts and updated versions of traditional recipes.
The proposal is served alongside some of the restaurant’s regular dishes, which focus on Andalusian cuisine and local produce.
Cinema under the stars in the gardens
The summer programme also includes an open-air cinema cycle in the resort’s gardens. Screenings take place at night on an outdoor screen, with films shown in original English version with Spanish subtitles.
The plan is designed as a relaxed way to end the day among gardens, popcorn and a summer atmosphere.
Among the scheduled titles is Pulp Fiction, with a screening planned for 24 July, while the cinema programme will continue on Fridays throughout August.
A summer plan between Málaga and Marbella
La Zambra Resort adds to the Costa del Sol’s summer leisure scene with a programme that combines the appeal of a luxury hotel with experiences open to the public.
Flamenco, Andalusian cuisine, cocktails, cinema and live music make the resort an attractive option for special dinners, couples’ plans or gastronomic getaways during the summer months.
