The Malaga Business Circle Awards Excellence to Sando, Trops, Tour10, and Utamed at its Charity Gala

The economic and social fabric of the province meets for a charitable purpose at the Málaga Business Circle gala. Institutional representatives, businessmen, executives, and professionals from various sectors attended an event at the La Concepción Historical Botanical Garden that combines business talent and social commitment, dedicating the entire evening's proceeds to the Hogar Abierto Foundation for its child support programs in vulnerable situations. "The success of a society is not measured only by the prosperity it generates, but by how it supports those who most need an opportunity," stated Francisco Jiménez, president of the Circle.

The institution once again wanted to recognize with its Málaga Business Circle Awards 2026 the excellence of companies and professionals from the province. Paco Ávila, CEO and founder of UTAMED, received the Innovation Award for his firm commitment to transforming the educational field and university innovation. The Business Career Award distinguished José Luis Sánchez Domínguez, founder of SANDO, for a career marked by his contribution to the economic development of the region as a benchmark in the construction and civil works sector.

Francisco Serón Ángulo, CEO and founder of TOUR10, received the Business Growth Award for the evolution of the company until it became a prominent player in independent tourist distribution. Likewise, the Leading Company in its Sector Award went to TROPS, for its leadership position, its capacity for innovation, and its contribution to strengthening the agri-food sector, an award collected by the firm's representative from Vélez-Málaga, David Sarmiento.

The gala also included the awarding of the Honorary Member distinction of the Málaga Business Circle to Javier de Haro Olea, from Martín Salido and de Haro Lawyers, for his involvement and commitment to the institution from its beginnings. "Behind each company, there is much more than an economic activity. There is employment, there are life projects, there are people who decide to bet on the future even when there are no guarantees," the president of the Circle reminded.

In his speech, Jiménez Badía reflected on the relevance of the Malaga business fabric, focused on a present effort with a view to the future. "When someone looks at the Málaga we are building today in twenty years, the truly important question will not be how much we grew. The question will be much simpler: What were we able to leave behind?" he pointed out. He noted that Málaga "is experiencing one of the most significant moments in its recent history," but urged not to fall into "complacency." "Housing, mobility, infrastructure, water, electricity... are significant challenges. It is no longer enough to manage the present, we must prepare for the future," the Circle's president pointed out.

The evening was supported by the Minister of Economy, Finance, European Funds, and Social Dialogue, Carolina España, as well as representatives from the Provincial Council and the regional administration itself. España thanked the work of the Business Circle: "You are the force that pushes Málaga and makes our land unstoppable," she said.

The spokesperson for the Government of Andalusia also reaffirmed the commitment of the Andalusian government to economic activity and business internationalization. "We want our companies to sell more, to sell better, to be regular exporters, and for this reason, from Andalucía TRADE we have launched a very powerful model of internationalization with direct incentives for it," España stated.

The celebration of this charity gala was supported by a broad group of sponsoring companies and institutions, among which FB Intec and Sardesa (Gold category); Cajamar and Volvo Vypsa (Premium Silver); in addition to Winterhalter, Diputación de Málaga, Promálaga, Novaschool, Mapfre, and Prolongo-Faccsa (Silver category).
