Diana is 23 years old, from Córdoba, and has lived her entire life with a rare disease. She was born with Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 2C, a neuromuscular disorder that has prevented her from walking and has defined her daily life with frequent hospital stays and treatments. Now, her greatest wish is to meet Aitana.
Her mother, Estrella, has sent out a message in hopes of reaching the artist before her concert in Fuengirola. Diana has tickets to see her this Friday, June 19, at the Marenostrum festival, a gift from her family for her birthday in November 2025, which means much more to her than just attending a concert.
The young woman from Córdoba has followed Aitana's career since her beginnings in Operación Triunfo. According to her family, she had two previous opportunities to see her live in Córdoba, but neither fulfilled that wish. In 2019, she couldn't attend because she had just undergone spinal surgery and was in full recovery. Years later, another scheduled concert was canceled because the singer had throat problems.
Since then, seeing Aitana live has become one of her big unfulfilled dreams.
The spinal surgery Diana underwent in 2019 did not go as expected. Her mother explains that the surgery was a severe blow for her, to the point of having to abandon her studies. Since then, music has become a refuge and one of her biggest motivations.
Now, Diana faces significant difficulties in traveling. She needs a respirator 24 hours a day and also oxygen, so any travel requires complex organization and great care. Even so, her family has done everything possible to enable her to experience a special night by the sea in Fuengirola, listening live to the artist who has been such a big part of her life.
"I would like Aitana to receive her and greet her at some point. She needs moments like this to cheer up and continue fighting the disease she suffers from. It would be the most special moment of her life, unforgettable," says her mother.
The family's request is simple: that Aitana could learn about Diana's story and, if possible, greet her during her time in Fuengirola. The young woman has also prepared some special gifts for the singer, with which she wants to thank her for all that her music has meant to her.
The goal now is for the message to reach the artist and her team before the concert: "A look or a greeting from Aitana would turn that night into an unforgettable memory."
This Friday, Diana will head to Fuengirola with all the medical equipment she needs and with the excitement of someone who has been waiting for this moment for years.
