The Puppet Festival returns to the Eduardo Ocón stage. For four days, from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 June, performances by national companies will be available at this venue on Paseo del Parque and entry will be free.

The series will open on Thursday 25 at 12:00 PM with the show 'Historias Titiriteras' by Proyecto Caravana company (Teruel). On Friday 26, the performance '¡Qué vivan los amigos!' by Francis Zafrilla company (Alicante) will take place. For Saturday 27, 'Peneque y la partitura perdida de Eduardo Ocón' by the Malaga-based company Los Títeres de Miguel Pino is scheduled, and the following day, closing the program, the performance 'Pepín y el fantasma' by La Nube Teatro company from Almería will be available.

All the performances of this initiative, which has the collaboration of Fundación la Caixa, will take place at the Eduardo Ocón venue starting at 12:00 PM.

Thursday, June 25

'Historias Titiriteras'. Company: Proyecto Caravana

In this proposal, attendees will discover the world through the eyes of a baby, encountering Pepín and his little great existence. Three different stories where he will meet lunatic characters "under the sun and the stars," as their song goes.

The most classic technique of glove puppets (with its color and rhythm) and live music (with its magic and truth) transport the audience to a puppeteer universe of fun and comedy. A show for early childhood where tenderness and play are the protagonists, a special occasion to share theater with the family and be young again.

'¡Qué vivan los amigos!' Company: Francis Zafrilla

Francis has asked permission from his best friends to set up a new show. And they said yes! Minnie the alien, Morocho the monkey, Bob the puppy, Alber@ni the platypus, and Honorato the crow make up this fantastic gang in the new Francis Zafrilla show.

Numbers that have already become classics land in this new show, renewed to continue surprising those who already know them and artistically enchant those who enjoy them for the first time.

¡Qué vivan los amigos! is a show for all families and all ages. A show with different types of puppets and puppets, full of songs, craziness, and fun.

'Peneque y la partitura perdida de Eduardo Ocón'

In the year of the 125th anniversary dedicated to the musician Eduardo Ocón, the theater fills with colors and music. It will be a very special occasion to discover, through Peneque, the wonderful musical work of the composer and bring it closer to the little ones in a fun and participatory way.

But just before the rehearsal begins... the most important score disappears! A wicked witch, unable to bear the joy and melodies, decides to spoil Eduardo Ocón's visit by casting a mischievous spell so that no one can play a single note.

With the help of Peneque, and thanks to teamwork and the power of friendship, the witch will understand that music is not made to ruin, but to share. The score will appear just in time, and the anniversary will be celebrated with a joyful performance in which families and characters will enjoy the music together.

'Pepín y el fantasma'. Company: La Nube Teatro

The play 'Pepín y el Fantasma' tells the story of Pepín, a shy and fearful boy in love with Rosita, the girl of his dreams. But one day, the arrival of a cruel and evil being to the kingdom changes everything. Pepín will have to demonstrate his bravery, overcoming his worst fears and especially if it is Rosita who asks him to.

With the help of the audience, the protagonist will achieve the unimaginable, reaching an ending full of courage, friendship, and above all love.

The play for the whole family contains messages of overcoming, learning values such as friendship, self-confidence, and the desire to overcome the fears that we all have at some point in our lives.
