Sophie returns for another summer of electronic passion in Malaga

There are events in Málaga that have become synonymous with the arrival of summer. Sophie is now one of them. This electronic music festival, which adds value to the culture in Málaga, kicks off this Saturday, June 13, for its third season with top-notch talent behind the decks and mixing tables. The first session will feature performances by Indira Paganotto and Héctor Oaks, among others. The event is not only strong musically but also offers a treat for those who arrive at Ogus Park (formerly Cortijo Bacardi) early. The festival organization has confirmed that there will be free beer and paella from 1:00 PM and during the early afternoon to welcome attendees.

The opening day's artists are joined by a long and impressive list of leading names for this year, including Mestiza, Damian Lazarus, Apollonia, John Talabot, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, and Richie Hawtin. Lastly, Ricardo Villalobos will close the cycle in September.

The ingredients offered by this third season of Sophie are more than enticing. Top-level artists, a venue to match with visuals guaranteed by its now-famous giant screen, and, as a major new feature this year, an extended closing time that will allow the music to play until four in the morning.

The countdown has ended, and the dancing begins this Saturday, continuing on June 27 (Mestiza and Damian Lazarus), July 11 (Apollonia and John Talabot), July 15 (Jamie Jones), August 15 (Marco Carola), September 5 (Richie Hawtin), and culminating on September 19 (Ricardo Villalobos).
