The music venues and halls in Málaga are facing a new week marked by a variety of styles and a lineup that once again demonstrates the importance of live music within the cultural offerings of the province. From Monday, May 11 to Sunday, May 17, venues such as Sala París 15, Sala Trinchera, and Marenostrum Fuengirola will host performances ranging from flamenco-pop and international tributes to electronic sessions and urban performances. Although the activity will be concentrated especially during the weekend, the schedule once again offers options for very different audiences, consolidating Málaga as one of the major musical destinations in the southern peninsula in the midst of spring.
On Friday, May 15, one of the most intense days of the week will begin with three events spread across different locations in the province. At the Marenostrum Fuengirola venue, Paco Candela will headline one of the most anticipated events for fans of flamenco music and popular Andalusian songs. The artist, with a solid fan base throughout the country, will arrive on the Costa del Sol with a repertoire full of emotion and roots.
Meanwhile, Sala París 15 will opt for a completely different night with the performance of Mr. Proper, a proposal aimed at a younger audience and linked to electronic and club sounds. That same night, Sala Trinchera will host El Último Pájaro, a tribute to Manolo García and El Último de la Fila, in a concert designed for those looking to relive some of the most iconic anthems of Spanish pop-rock.
Saturday, May 16 appears as the big day of the week, with a simultaneous program that combines nostalgia, urban music, and dance sessions. Sala Trinchera will welcome Uprising, a tribute band to Muse that promises to bring the sound power and spectacularity of the British band to the stage. This is an especially attractive event for fans of alternative rock and major international live performances.
For its part, Sala París 15 will focus on two very different events during the same day. John Pollón will bring a proposal linked to the new urban scene, while Fiebre Club XL will transform the hall into a large dance floor with a session focused on electronic music and the nightlife atmosphere.
The musical week will conclude on Sunday, May 17 with the performance of Lorna at Sala Trinchera. The artist will put the final touch to several days of intense cultural activity with a concert that reinforces Málaga's commitment to continuous and diverse programming beyond the major summer festivals.
