The Automobile and Fashion Museum of Málaga once again becomes a meeting point for the fashion industry at the fifth edition of the MAM Fashion Forum (5MFF). Under the theme 'It has a lot of street', experts and professionals analyzed the sector from a global perspective where creativity, business, communication, sustainability, and culture converge. A vision that sees fashion as an interconnected system that evolves from the street to business structures and new digital channels.

The panel 'Luxury as an Experience', moderated by Gerard Estadella, brought together Isidoro Encinas and Megui Gómez-Sala, who discussed the evolution of the concept of luxury in a context where experience, brand identity, and emotional connection with the consumer are increasingly important. For Encinas, "luxury should not be linked to money, but to what it means to you," understanding it as a form of individual expression beyond purchasing power. "Luxury and the street, although opposites, today dialogue and exchange inspiration," added Megui Gómez-Sala.

Next, the forum gave way to a 'Creative Dialogue' with Palito Dominguín, who shared her vision on creativity as an essential driver within fashion, focusing on authenticity and the influence of cultural environment on creative processes. The granddaughter of Lucía Bosé and Luis Miguel Dominguín argued that her work "is a self-portrait". "I speak of what I know and who I am," she said. Dominguín also reflected, alongside Begoña Pascual, on the true meaning of luxury from an emotional perspective: "It's not just the material, it's the value that each one gives to things."

The 'Entrepreneurship and Creation' meeting, moderated by the designer from Málaga, Álvaro Calafat, brought together DACAL and Evangelina Julia, who focused on the importance of innovation, brand identity, and adaptation to a constantly transforming market. With a fundamental challenge: the economic sustainability of creative projects. DACAL, co-founder of the brand Dame Après Paris, pointed out that being creative is not just designing, "it's knowing how to adapt your ideas to the system so they can exist."

Observe and Research

For her part, Evangelina Julia claimed the importance of the creative process and constant research, stating that creativity "comes from observing, researching, and letting oneself be carried away by all possibilities." The founder of the brand Evade House highlighted the importance of connecting with the consumer: "We need to get closer to the public and understand how they perceive fashion."

After the networking cocktail, conceived as a space for connection between professionals, the day resumed its schedule in the afternoon with the live recording of the podcast 'Fashion Sucks', hosted by Alba Melendo and Raquel F. Sobrín.

The day had institutional representation from the regional government delegate of the Government of the Junta de Andalucía in Málaga, Patricia Navarro; the regional delegate for Tourism, Culture, and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía in Málaga, Carlos García; the deputy for Sustainable Economic Development and Tourism, and from the Málaga de Moda brand at the Provincial Council of Málaga, Esperanza González; and the councilor for Human Resources and Quality, and Tourism at the City Council of Málaga, Jacobo Florido; who supported the role of the forum as a cultural and economic engine for the city.
