The Torremolinos FreakCon will award the best video game developer to celebrate its tenth anniversary

FreakCon, the International Festival of Manga, Comics, Series, and Video Games in Torremolinos, is starting to reveal the program for its tenth anniversary. One of the highlights is promoting talent in video game development with the Indie Zone, a new space aimed at encouraging creators and fans of this art.

The initiative will have the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Málaga, the Regional Government of Andalusia through the Digital Agency of Andalusia, the City Council of Torremolinos, and the Spanish Association of Video Game and Entertainment Software Producers and Developers.

Additionally, some of the guest stars for this special edition have already been announced. One of these shining names will be Giancarlo Esposito, known for his leading roles in cult series such as Breaking Bad, The Mandalorian, and The Boys. His fans will have the opportunity to get a photo and an autograph from the international actor.

1,000 Euros

The Indie Zone at FreakCon will have a jury composed of professionals from this industry who will award a prize to the best video game of the edition, endowed with 1,000 euros, recognizing the quality, innovation, and creativity of the participating projects.

FreakCon will fill the Palacio de Congresos in Torremolinos with activity on May 22, 23, and 24. Regarding the Indie Zone, it is aimed at both the general public and industry professionals, this area is presented as an opportunity to connect talent, industry, and community in the same environment.

Additionally, it will have a jury composed of professionals from this industry who will award a prize to the best video game of the edition, a prize endowed with 1,000 euros, recognizing the quality, innovation, and creativity of the participating projects.
