The Riu Palace Nautilus Hotel in Torremolinos enters the 'premium' category of the veteran Mallorcan chain and is part of the 'palace' segment of the operator.

Thus, this 4-star establishment on the Costa del Sol becomes the first to achieve this superior standard in the Peninsula, sharing a standard with accommodations offered by Riu in destinations such as Tenerife, Agadir, Bahamas, or Los Cabos. For this, a thorough renovation of the complex has been undertaken, featuring a new restaurant, enhanced sea views, and a redesign aimed at increasing brightness.

The hotel, which has 313 rooms, is located beachfront and is well-connected to the airport and Benalmádena. It has updated facilities such as the 'lobby', where clarity and spaciousness have been enhanced, as highlighted by the Mallorca firm.

The renovation of the Hotel Riu Palace Nautilus is the latest undertaken by the chain, which originated from a family business founded in 1953 and has 101 hotels in 22 countries. In 2025, they served 6.8 million customers and employed 38,955 staff members. Riu is the 40th largest hotel chain in the world and the third in Spain by number of rooms.
