José María Pou plays writer Roald Dahl in Giant, Mark Rosenblatt’s play inspired by real events and winner of three Olivier Awards in 2025, including Best New Play.

Set in the summer of 1983, the story finds Dahl facing public controversy following antisemitic comments. Over the course of one afternoon, he must decide whether to apologise or risk his reputation, in a drama exploring prejudice, public responsibility and freedom of expression.
