Fashion will return to one of Estepona’s most distinctive venues this September. Estepona Fashion Week will celebrate its tenth edition from 23 to 26 September 2026, once again using the Botanical Park-Orchidarium as its main setting.

Over four evenings, the venue will become a fashion runway bringing together designers, models and brands, with shows scheduled from around 8pm.

The programme will culminate on Saturday 26 September with one of the highlights of the event: the final of the VII Estepona de Moda Young Designers Competition, EDM26, created to discover and promote new talent in Spanish fashion.

Four nights of fashion inside the Orchidarium

The tenth anniversary will have a symbolic element, as the event returns to the Botanical Park-Orchidarium, the venue where the project first began a decade ago.

Its glass architecture, gardens and tropical vegetation create a very different backdrop from a conventional fashion venue, turning each show into part of a wider visual experience.

The event will once again combine fashion, creativity and local commerce while reinforcing Estepona’s growing cultural calendar.

Eight young designers will compete in the EDM26 final

The spotlight will fall on emerging talent on Saturday 26 September.

Eight designers selected from all applications will present their collections on the Orchidarium catwalk and compete for the prizes in the VII Estepona de Moda Young Designers Competition.

Each finalist will present a collection made up of six looks, which will be assessed by a professional jury.

Originality, quality, creativity, innovation and presentation will all be considered, together with how each collection connects with current fashion trends.

Who can enter the competition?

The competition is open to young designers from across Spain.

Applicants must be aged between 18 and 35 on 31 December 2026 and either have been born in Spain or be able to prove that they live or study in the country.

Entries must be submitted individually, with each participant presenting a single collection.

This makes the competition especially attractive for students, recent graduates and designers taking their first steps towards creating their own label.

The application deadline is 31 August 2026.

Cash prizes and a professional catwalk

All eight finalists will receive a financial award.

The winner of EDM26 will receive €1,000 and a trophy, while second place will receive €500 and a trophy and third place €300 and a trophy.

The remaining five finalists will each receive a €200 runner-up prize.

Beyond the prize money, one of the main opportunities is the chance to present a complete collection on a professional runway in front of the public and people connected with the fashion industry.

A second life for emerging collections

The competition also aims to give visibility to collections that often have very few opportunities to be shown again after their first presentation.

That can include final university projects, academic collections and first independent designs that may have taken months to create but have only appeared once on a catwalk.

Estepona therefore offers these projects a new audience and another opportunity to be seen by professionals, visitors and fashion enthusiasts.

Fashion becomes part of Estepona’s cultural calendar

The event is also part of a wider strategy to use some of Estepona’s most recognisable spaces as settings for cultural and creative events.

For four nights, the Orchidarium will become more than a visitor attraction, turning into a showcase for design and emerging fashion.

The tenth edition will combine creativity, new talent and one of the city’s most distinctive architectural spaces, before closing with the search for the next generation of Spanish designers.
