San Pedro Alcántara will celebrate this Saturday, the 7th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, its traditional 'Spring Market', an initiative that will feature the participation of more than thirty local establishments and a performance by the choir Aires del Sur. The deputy mayor of San Pedro, Javier García, presented the event today alongside Miguel Ángel Jiménez, president of the Small and Medium Business Association of San Pedro Alcántara (Apymespa), and Belén Fuentes, representative of the 'Tus tiendas amigas' group, and emphasized that "it is an event that takes place twice a year, with its counterpart in the Christmas season, and has become a benchmark in the calendar of events aimed at boosting commercial activity and continuing to support our business community."

García highlighted that "it is a proposal aimed at all audiences, which will also include a children's area with animations and a bouncy castle for the little ones," and detailed that it will take place on Lagasca, Marqués del Duero, and Córdoba streets with the inclusion of charity shops from the Cudeca and Valores associations. He also encouraged all residents to support a market where there will be representation from the fashion, footwear, gastronomy, and craft sectors. Fuentes, for her part, thanked the institutional support and explained that "it is a project that started fifteen years ago and has grown with each edition because it takes place in a festive atmosphere where it is the merchant who goes out into the street to showcase their product." Jiménez, finally, mentioned that "this year it is also open to businesses that are not in the center or are on the periphery" and stressed that "it is a wonderful opportunity for citizens to do their shopping in a different and more playful environment."
